Annual Memorial Murph Workout 2026 - Round Rock, TX
May 11, 2026

Our annual Memorial Day Murph workout is back.
Each year, this event brings together athletes, veterans, first responders, friends, families, and members of the local community for one reason: to put in hard work while honoring those who gave everything in service to others.
This year’s event will take place on:
Monday, May 25, 2026
5:00 PM
OBK Fitness – Round Rock, Texas
This is a free community event and all fitness levels are welcome.

What Is the Murph Workout?
The Murph is one of the most recognized Memorial Day workouts in the country, performed in honor of Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005.
The workout consists of:
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1 mile run
Participants can complete it as prescribed, scale it to their fitness level, or wear a weighted vest for an added challenge.
At the end of the day, this event is not about competition or leaderboard times. It’s about effort, accountability, and showing up alongside others for something bigger than yourself.
A New Location for 2026
After last year’s strong turnout, we knew we needed a larger and more structured setup moving forward.
This year, we’ll be hosting the event at OBK Fitness in Round Rock, a local gym whose culture and values align closely with what this event is about. The facility will allow us to create a better overall experience for everyone attending while still keeping the event grounded in hard work and community.
We’ll have:
- 22 pull-up bar stations
- Assistance band options available
- Raffle giveaways from supporting brands such as ASICS, ON Running, Fleet Feet, C4 Energy, and more
- On-site hydration and recovery support (PT, cold plunges, etc.)
- Food trucks after the workout
- Media coverage capturing the event throughout the evening

Looking Back at Last Year
Last year’s Murph turnout exceeded expectations, with more than 80 participants showing up to put in the work despite the Texas heat.
What stood out most wasn’t the workout itself, it was the atmosphere around it. Complete strangers encouraging each other through difficult reps. Groups staying behind to help others finish. Veterans, runners, gym athletes, and first-timers all moving together with the same purpose.
That’s what made the event memorable, and that’s exactly what we want to continue building this year.

More Than a Workout
There are easier ways to spend Memorial Day.
But events like this matter because they force people to slow down, suffer a little together, and remember why the day exists in the first place.
No race bibs. No podiums. Just people showing up and earning it together.

RSVP Information
RSVP is required for participation and raffle entry.
Spots are limited, and we expect this year’s turnout to be our biggest yet.
We’ll see you there.
